Since the outbreak of COVID-19, UL has closely monitored the situation and activated plans at a local and global level to help assure the safety and well-being of our employees, customers and communities. We are continually evolving our response and taking decisive actions to stay aligned with recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other regional authorities.
Safety is the heart of our mission. Employee well-being is paramount, and so is remaining focused on informing and supporting our customers during this time. Our dedicated staff are adapting processes, moving to virtual engagements, and staying current on market changes to help ensure client engagements move forward wherever possible.
Please note the following updates as it relates to Consumer and Retail Services (CRS) Audit & Inspection programs:
- We will not charge cancellation fees to our customers requesting delays or cancellations of audits and inspections related to the COVID-19 concerns.
- We will continue to perform audits and inspections globally in all locations in the absence of country/state enacted travel restrictions or concerns for employee safety.
- We offer some audit and inspection alternative solutions and our client services support teams are available to discuss these options with you.
