California’s Department of Toxic Control and Substances (DTSC) has opened comment period on the regulatory proposal to list carpets and rugs containing perfluoroalkyl or polyfluoroalkyl substances as a priority product.

DTSC has determined that there is potential for exposure to perfluoroalkyl or polyfluoroalkyl substances in carpets and rugs and there is potential for that exposure to contribute to or cause significant or widespread adverse impacts.

Comment period will be closed on April 13th, 2020.
