The Accreditation and Certification Administration of China has drafted General Implementation Rules for Mandatory Certification of Toys and Child Cart Products on April 24th, 2018.

The proposed rules describe the scope and classification, certification criteria, certification mode, division of certification unit, certification commission, basic requirements for certification implementation, post-certification supervision, certificates and certification marks, certification fees and certification responsibility, detailed certification rules, and follow-up supervision, etc.

This rule applies to all toys within the scope of the GB 6675 “Toy Safety” series of standards, i.e. toys designed or intended for use by children under 14 years of age; this rule also applies to the design or intended for carrying children or for children to take Riding on a variety of materials baby stroller products.

Public consultation is open for this until June 23rd, 2018.

  • Proposed date of adoption: 1 July 2018
  • Proposed date of entry into force: 1 June 2020
