The Ministry of the Environment and Food of Denmark has enacted Executive Order No. 662 of Processed Foods based on Cereals and Baby Foods for Infants and Young Children on June 1, 2018.
This Order provides the requirements for processed foods based on cereals and baby foods for infants and young children. The labeling of the products must include the following information:
- A numerical indication of the average amount of nutrients listed in Annex 4, per. 100 g or 100 ml of the product as it is placed on the market and, if appropriate, specified quantity in prepared condition when such declaration is not covered by the provisions of section 4, paragraph 4.
- Information on vitamins and minerals included in Annex 5, expressed as a percentage of the reference values given in Annex 5 per. 100 g or 100 ml of the product as it is placed on the market and, if appropriate, specified amount of the product in the prepared state, provided that the amounts of vitamins and / or minerals in the product account for at least 15% of the reference values.
This was enforced on July 1, 2018.
