On October 8, 2018, the European Commission has published a proposal to allows the use of phenylene bis-diphenyltriazine as a UV filter in cosmetic products.

Specifically, this draft allows the use of phenylene bis-diphenyltriazine as a UV filter in cosmetic products at a concentration up to 5%, by adding it to the list of authorised UV filters in Annex VI to Regulation (EC) No 12232009.

Public comments will be accepted until December 7, 2018.
