The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) is calling for evidence on possible restriction of substances of concern in single-use nappies for infants and children.
This proposal is submitted by the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES). ANSES proposes a restriction of PAHs, furans, dioxins, PCBs and formaldehyde in single-use nappies for infants and children.
ECHA will be hosting a call for evidence until March 31st, 2020 An information session on January 30th is intended to clarify the scope of ANSES’ investigation and answer questions related to the call for evidence. It is open for all, and will be most useful for those planning to provide information for the preparation of the restriction proposal.
