The European Commission (EC) has opened public consultation for the proposal to restrict hazardous substances in tattoo inks and permanent make-up.
The proposal restricts the use of approximately 4,000 substances in tattoo inks and permanent make-ups. These substances are those listed banned in cosmetic products or subject to certain harmonized classifications, such as carcinogens or skin sensitizers.
First deadline for comments on the restriction report is opened until February 16, 2018.
Final deadline for comments on the restriction report closes on June 20, 2018.
