The GCC Standardization Organization has proposed an updated regulation for food nutrition labeling.

This draft Regulation for Gulf guideline prescribes the allowable tolerances in the declaration of nutritional values on food labels, the allowable tolerances for the addition of vitamins and minerals, and the allowable tolerances in the declaration of any nutritional and health claims that must be present on food labels.

Public consultation is open for the draft regulation until December 2, 2018.
