On January 17, 2019 Health Canada has launched a public consultation for the Proposed Risk Management for Ketones Used in Paints and DIY Products.

The proposal outlines the risk management option under consideration for 2-Butanone (MEK); 4-Methyl-2-pentanone (MIBK); 2,4-Pentanedione (2,4-PD), which have been perceived to be harmful to human life or health.

Public comments will be accepted until March 20, 2019.
