The International Labour Organization (ILO) has released a Guide to Myanmar’s Labor Law. The Guide was funded by the European Union, Norway, Switzerland, United States, and the ILO, developed in consultation with the Myanmar government. Myanmar is currently undergoing a large government reform, and has been drafting and amending labor legislation with the intention of complying with International Labor Standards. The Guide is intended to provide a comprehensive overview of the legal framework of these laws, and relevant International Labor Standards, for employers, workers, and other stakeholders.
