The notifications are as follows:
- MOTIE Notification No. 2018-031 Notification on the Revision of Safety Standards for Children’s Products subject to Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity
This notification establishes the following:
- Annex 1 – Leather Products for Children — Safety Standards for Children’s Products subject to Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity
- Annex 15 – Textile Products for Children — Safety Standards for Children’s Products subject to Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity
The major amendments are:
- Name change according to the other law (“Electric goods and household goods safety management law”) enactment
- Application of final grace period of the whole Annex
- Addition of supplemental information and instructions for improving the understanding of the complainant
- MOTIE Notification No. 2018-032 Notification on the Revision of Safety Standards for Children’s Products subject to Safety Confirmation
The notification amends Annex 1 – Textile Products for Infant — Safety Standards for Children’s Products subject to Safety Confirmation, with the following revisions:
- Name change according to the other law (“Electric goods and household goods safety management law”) enactment
- Application of final grace period of the whole Annex
- Addition of supplemental information and instructions for improving the understanding of the complainant
The two notifications were enforced on March 5th, 2018.
