ToysThe Department of Health and Services of Suffolk County, New York has reviewed Intro Res. No. 1682–2017 Local Law to Amend the Toxic Free Toys Act.
This resolution amends Chapter 704 of the SUFFOLK COUNTY CODE to improve the effectiveness of the Toxic Free Toys Act. This changes the limit for mercury and antimony from 40 ppm to 60 ppm, change the limit for arsenic from 40 ppm to 25 ppm, and remove the restriction for cobalt. It also clarifies that this only applies to accessible components.
The resolution was introduced on July 25, 2017.
