Testing

On March 24th, 2020, the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) of Taiwan announces four additional baby products for mandatory inspection. BSMI believes that commodities such as cribs and straps are essential baby products for common parenting, hence the inclusion of the following products:

  • Fixed side cribs
  • Pull-down and mobile side cribs
  • Baby folding beds
  • Baby belts

The Bureau confirms that these products will be inspected through ‘Verification Registrations’ (Type test mode + type declaration mode) or ‘Type Approval’ and ‘Dual Track’ inspection in batches to meet the needs of applicants for early application of type test.

BSMI ensures that they will continue reviewing children’s product and those that will be identified as harmful or poses risk will be announced and listed for mandatory inspection.
