Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) is consulting the public on the Draft Guidelines for Food Labeling Advertisements Covering Misleading Misunderstandings on Medical Effectiveness.

This Announcement outlines the labeling requirements of food prone to exaggeration or misunderstanding of medical efficacy. The Food Safety and Health Management Law prohibits food labeling, promoting or advertising false, exaggerated, and prone to a misunderstanding of medical efficacy claims.

The consultation is open until February 2nd, 2019.
