Taiwan has released a draft regulation on Labeling of Cosmetics Imitation and Single Packaging. The draft is up for public consultation until April 1, 2019.

The regulation requires that the name of all ingredients contained in the product must be indicated on the outer packaging of the cosmetics. The name can either be in Chinese or in English.

On the other hand, impurities in the cosmetics ingredients added to the sub-components that are not present in the product and spices or other ingredients at the time of production are not required to be labeled.

However, if the cosmetics contain medical or toxic drugs (including pharmaceutical cosmetics), the name and content of the ingredients can still be indicated with precautions in using.
