Thailand’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is seeking public consulting on the revisions to the labeling requirements of non-alcoholic beverages in sealed containers. The notification is Draft MOPH Notification, B.E, entitled “Beverages in Sealed Container (No. 2)”.

This Notification proposes to revise the labeling requirements of beverages in sealed containers. A beverage with mixed caffeine shall be declared with the following text:

  • Do not drink more than 2 … (container unit such as can, bottle, etc.) a day because it may cause palpitation and sleeplessness.
  • Children and pregnant women should not drink.
  • The person who has underlying disease and patients should consult with a physician before drinking”.

The notification is open for public consultation until January 29th, 2019.
