The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the extension of comment period on the proposed rulemaking for the safety standard of infant sleep products.

On November 12th, 2019, the CPSC published a supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking (Supplemental NPR) to promulgate a consumer product safety standard for infant sleep products in the Federal Register. The Supplemental NPR invited the public to submit written comments during a 75-day comment period, which ended on January 27th, 2020.

In response to a request for an extension of the comment period, the Commission is extending the comment period until February 26th, 2020.
